  Beware of the water!! This course is great for working out the heroes from the brainboxes on course. Many holes require a bit of grey matter to negotiate. When wet it's a bit boggy, but when dry this course really is very lush. There is a nice chipping and putting green(s) and an undercover area with BBQ for social groups. The green fees are extremely reasonable. Also try to stay out of the bogs - or you'll end up with clubs like below!

  Great little course. Bit of a hidden gem. Only 30 minutes from the tollgate. $25 for a round of golf or $20 on other days. Well maintained, picturesque. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking available. Can be a bit of a line up depending on what time you tee off

  What a beautiful course! Very fair prices, quite speedy greens even though they're soft. Absolutely recommend this course to all players. Good chance to see a bit wildlife around the course.
  Will rise this review to 5 stars once the 18th hole is fixed up

  You will struggle to find a better course outside of Adelaide CBD. 18 holes of well manicured brilliance. Coming here for the $20 after 4pm deal is absolutely magical, especially in summer/ daylight savings . So many kangaroos. Thanks guys.

  UPDATE: 23/12/22
  Our first visit after an extremely wet winter. The course was opened up in late November and everyone has done amazing job. As expected, the course was in excellent condition. We were reminded that Echunga really is a “hidden gem”. Fairways, bunkers and in particular the greens were beautifully manicured. The bushland setting all add to a wonderful golfing experience.
  Staff and members are always welcoming. We look forward to our next visit.
  UPDATE 31/12/21
  A 38° day for the last day of the year. We teed off early in the morning before 7 o’clock and were able to finish by 10.30 before the heat…… only 29°. A great place to play early when you’ve got a really hot day happening.
  A great summer course. It can get boggy during winter. The greens had already been mowed and rolled beautifully. Fairways were immaculate with excellent roll. Very picturesque and peaceful setting with lots of kangaroos early in the morning. We had a fantastic time. Heather was very welcoming in the pro shop.
  Great value. 2for1 in the Golf Guide. We highly recommend a round of golf - a hidden gem in the Adelaide Hills.

  Identical to last year at this time. As expected, the course was in excellent condition. The greens were cored a few weeks ago and have come back really well.
  Fairways had excellent coverage. The bunkers were well maintained. Heather was very welcoming. A very peaceful and relaxing day out. A short 20min drive from the toll gate. We usually visit when it is hot elsewhere ...... as a hills course it is always a few degrees cooler compared to Adelaide. Well worth a visit.

  Our first visit after winter. As expected, the course was in excellent condition. The greens were cored a few weeks ago and have come back really well. The fairways were mown the shortest I’ve played them. I got excellent roll which is unusual for Echunga. I hope they maintain the fairways at this level. Always a great day out.   The fairways and greens had just been mown making for excellent conditions for golf. Please read my previous reviews below. Di was very welcoming in the clubhouse. Make sure you add Echunga to your bucket list of golf courses to play in South Australia.
  
  UPDATE: 19/12/19
  35 degrees at 6.30am when we hit off. Forecast was 44 degrees. The course was in excellent condition even after 4 days in a row of 40 degrees plus. Please read my previous reviews below........ nothing has changed. Normally this hills course is a great place to play when it is hot everywhere else. You are guaranteed to have a wonderful day out at Echunga Golf course.
  Sadly as we were finishing we could see the smoke from the catastrophic Cudlee Creek fire which destroyed 87 homes and two lives were lost.
